The
meeting was called to order at 10:15 AM by chairperson
Tammy Segura.
Motion: Minutes approved as distributed.
Tammy Segura moved; Tomye Glenn 2nd. Carried.
Motion: Tomye Glenn moved to change
meeting time to every other month. Next meeting November
13th, then January 8th and thereafter every other
month. Tammy Segura 2nd. Carried.
Senior citizen committee member and consumer committee
member in recruitment.
Committee
discussed the lack of consumers in the work force.
Noted that smaller business may serve as ideal work
sites for consumers to bring consumers out of workshops,
compensatory education classes.
Reviewed stigma campaign packet.
The division due to the need to build provider network
and community supports has slowed consumer transition
into community supports down.
Motion: Barbara Miles motioned to
adjourn. Tammy Segura 2nd. Carried. Meeting adjourned
at 11:05 AM.
